Tradition and Revelation

The Gnostic school provides a structured study through its courses at various levels. The methods, exercises and teachings- from meditation, the functions of the mind and psychology, understanding our dreams, to the mystical studies of alchemy, kabbalah, yoga, mantras, astrology etc. form the body of the Gnostic doctrine.
The teachings or tradition provides the necessary keys and exercises for a student to find their own answers. It acts as a guide for us to receive our own direct experience, our own revelation. This can be in the form of intuition, comprehension, dreams, meditation, reflection or prayer. This revelation becomes our own knowledge, our own Gnosis.
The authentic Gnostic seeks transformation through the illumination, ecstasy, samadhi, the beatitude or the grace received by a soul yearning with love to be one with the divinity. Therefore, we recognise that the Gnostic experience unfolds in many traditions, religions and esoteric orders around the world.
As each person is able to verify, to experience and to know these teachings consciously, they contribute to the tradition. Thus, tradition must be understood not as an empty repetition of phrases or gestures, but as a living, dynamic process.
The Gnostic tradition is kept alive by those willing to undertake the path, by all those who work seriously on themselves, by the initiates and masters of the modern age.
