The introductory courses vary and include many other topics that are not listed here. The purpose of the introduction is to give an overview of the Gnostic studies, to teach the foundations of meditation and to support students wanting to develop their own practice at home by offering exercises related to each class.
Courses are typically conducted one night per week with a talk and meditation practice. Please check details for the course you are enrolled in. "The foundation of [this] "awakening" is psychological work on ourselves: ruthless, disciplined self-observation, the most profound comprehension of our negative psychic elements, and finally their annihilation, through the conscious use of our energies.
Gnostic psychology differs fundamentally from conventional psychology because it approaches the human psyche from the point of origin: The Essence, the Buddhata, or Consciousness, the "seed of the Soul"; Divine, intelligent principles which belong neither to time, nor to the mind."
