This course assumes knowledge of meditation practice developed in the introduction.
In these courses, we learn techniques and further develop the practices of concentration and meditation, silencing the mind, developing the imagination and intuition, expanding and awakening consciousness, experiencing the greater reality of our being, knowing ourselves and dissolving psychological defects such as fear, resentment, guilt, laziness, etc. In short, Gnostic meditation is practised to directly experience the mysteries. "If a person wants to become an engineer, lawyer, doctor, etc., he has to prepare himself for it. That person will go to school and study a great deal. After he has a good theoretical basis in the field he studied, he will begin to practice what he has learned. Practice brings about perfection. The great sages, professionals, scientists, etc., have not merely come to attain a theoretical knowledge of their respective fields of study, but have also put this knowledge into practice. Theory by itself cannot bring about anything except an intellectual enjoyment on the part of those who understand it. Practice is needed." Samael Aun Weor, Introduction to Gnosis "It is possible that in a practice of deep meditation, the consciousness of a human being can escape from within the ego and experience the happiness of the illuminating void. It is obvious that if one gets it, one will work with pleasure on oneself, one will work with ardour, because one wll have experienced, certainly, in absence of the ego, That that is the Truth. That that is not of time; that is beyond the body, the affections and the mind." Samael Aun Weor |
